My flatmate brought a cute redhead home for a siesta after a party night. He is one matured kid of 18 from Hamilton. I am settling real well in the new flat and the only thing left is to set an automatic payment. Anyway the rotis turned out okay and I may be relief teaching again and may continue art as an extramurrial student.
The Sagittarius horoscope has asked me to rest since there will be action soon and I am feeling too lazy to walk today as I couch potato watch a kid catching a 47 Kg kid as it rains in South Island. I am glad I did not go walking there yet.

Cambridge tale

Cold Walk
Having rested and rested for nearly ten days now and a successful
detox, on a rather sunny morning I decided to explore Cambridge. Not
the town side but the mountain side. The yellow red orange fruit tree
that crows eat outside the house is called Persimmon and once you get
used to the taste is really grows on you; the taste not the tree.
It got got cloudy in no time but not the dark cloudy but the silver
cloudy in Russian movies where the trees look barren and I was
disappointed with a dull brown maple tree but I was wrong. This was
not maple it was a look-alike and had seven-sided leaves.
I passed scenic horse stables with huge brown and black horses flowing
on the meadows and i picked up a frozen butterfly dead and looked at
with poetic and artistic interest and a delicate eye and did not know
what to do with it so threw it. Rob once said that Cambridge was a
beautiful part of the country and I walked waving to the occasional
black car and electrical and plumber on wheels and a farm mobile and
the horses ran alongside me as I decided to jump the fields.
When we were young and our foot fitted between two thorns of barb
wires I used to jump the fields all over borivali that had huge fields
then.
A billy goat came and wanted to speak to me as I stood and spoke some
gibberish to the goat. It was a huge goat not the small ones we eat in
India but a mountain goat. No one eats Billy goats here. In fact male
goats are too hard anyway.
I met a female jockey who asked me if I liked the horse and i said the
combination was beautiful. I saw black and white sheep that ran away
from me and then the maple trees. red, Beige, Khakhi, Cream, Purple
Lavender, and Yellow leaves. but the real yellow leaves came on my way
home as I walked 8 odd kms through bare trees and imitated bird sounds
and kept them interested and walked through Kings Land which has a
cluster of lovely houses, not like the country villas with huge
windows back on St Kilda Rd. But the leaves that had a distinctive
shape were really bright happy sunshine smiley yellow. The cows were
grazing and I saw a field with black and white cows whose milk as not
as good as the brown cows that are typical to India and anyway these
cows are injected with everything to keep them milky.

Just another dark day (Xmas 2007)

Hamilton is in a valley and thus good days and bad days stay more often here. It has been bright sunshine. In fact, too bright and too sunny and I intend to use my Fujifilm Digi camera and take some awesome pictures soon but last 13 days out of 14 I have worked and thus just recovered from a powerful anti-histamine driven sleep. It's a quiet day at work as most people are tearing their hair on Xmas shoppings for loved ones and relatives. I remember going to buy slippers from Santa Cruz with Renu and Shobha. This was in Bombay when Bombay was called Bombay and notsome new political name.
The Santa Cruz Market is where all the footpath is filledwith cheap, fresh vegetables and shoe stores on the street and those were thedays when Gola shoes were hot and Bombay was clean. Santa Cruz was where Idid my kindergarten and we would go the beach on full moon night when it wasthe norm to eat rice porridge that was cooled by the moon and the waves wouldgo crazy.
The shopping we did in Santa Cruz was for Diwali where youcould buy sweets, crackers, toast sandwiches, lemonades, slippers and chappalsand bhel and sev puri on the street.

The winds roaring

I may have given you a misleading piece of information that Wellington is warm. Actually my heater confused me and when I went out I realised that the wind was roaring from the hills and my flatmate was snoring. The other day I had forgotten to turn the heater off as in a small candle was burning through the night. The verdict: I am worse than a small kid as far as carelessness and irresponsibility go.
Yahoo has helped me cut down my recipients and thus this goes to only my best friends.
It's 1:27 in the morning and even though I have turned the heater off, I am reasonably warm. Must be the fish oil tablets. Island bay has hills that are filled with houses that remind you of the set of old Hindi films. A lonely house with a burning yellow light like a suspense movie. I have brought more french and ?Italian movie and a NZ poetry book after visiting a beautiful art gallery that made me want to paint and take pictures. I have a blog that will soon have today's pictures on http://the-paper-boat.blogspot.com/

Yes I had promised not to write to you

But believe you me, this mail is going to a select few who are extremely close to my heart. Alright.
NZ is stormy and wonderful. Auckland and Hamilton are freezing I hear but Wellington is nice and warm and I have succumbed to having a heater in my room. I do not need it all time but dries things up. Today it was pouring and I remembered Bombay rains since because of overcast conditions it was warm and allowed me a walk to the shops.
I am finally comfortable and have started Omega 3 tablets to balance my Omega six and winter and everything else. It's nice and warm and spoke to muffy and daniel who are some of my best friends here and am in regular contact with Justin and Anne.
The evening sun was nice and red and am dry and comfortable in this warm room reminiscing my first days in NZ in Aug 2002 and have managed to keep most of my good friends and have lost only a few and it has been a terrific 6 years in and out of this country.
My arts course is due to start soon and daniel is right I am a procastinater but spoke to a few close to my heart and feeling great. Feel like a million bucks after a good meal.

The Dark Knight Diaries

It's winds and gale and seems like little peacocks dancing on roof tops. Today I vacuumed the flat and life feels good. This city has houses that are hundred years old on an average and sometimes on sunny days that feels really romantic. The old world. A lot of Wellington looks like parsee houses in Bombay much cleaner of course. There is a talk of recession world-wide and that is more a media hype than anything.
Now for the good news. No; not getting married but all the anecdotes and letters I am sending out to your mailbox, I will be posting on my blog. That way you have a choice and if you require my where-abouts that includes tiny tit-bits, anecdotes, mundane and yawny and raunchy like the lesbo flick The Gymnast, very classily done that I watched with my flatmate. She is cute as we went on a moviethon and watched three flicks last night.
You may receive my daily diary at sunealvarma.blogspot.com and advise me in case you want me to post my junk to your mail box. It will be an honour.
In the mean time I eagerly await some wet weather and wild winds coming through cook strait straight from Antartica as I tried banana yoghurt salad with a bit of mustard and am feeling great.
